Hello friends, I would like to ask for help with my notebook model Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fb0010nr, it was purchased in February last year, It always worked normally, it was stored for approximately 2 months without me using it, but on Monday the battery ran out. When I started using it again the battery stopped charging, it was at 7% on Monday and today (Thursday) it is at 4% and it only connects to the socket, if I remove the power cord it turns off just like that , I would like your help to solve the problem, in the hardware tests the battery is not passing, it says that it has a problem and presents the following error code FAILURE ID: M0C164-BGDB01-MPX1F-C6F203
Can you help me with this problem?

Hi @EduardoLopes12,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fb0010nr is experiencing a battery failure, especially since the battery is not holding a charge and is failing hardware diagnostics. The error code you provided (FAILURE ID: M0C164-BGDB01-MPX1F-C6F203) indicates a hardware issue with the battery. Here are some steps you can take to address this problem.
Perform a Hard Reset
Performing a hard reset can sometimes resolve minor hardware issues.
- Turn off your laptop.
- Disconnect all external devices (including the power adapter).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter (but leave external devices disconnected).
- Turn on the laptop and check the battery status.
Update BIOS and Drivers
Ensure that your BIOS and drivers are up to date, as updates can sometimes fix power and battery issues.
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your laptop's model number (Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fb0010nr).
- Download and install any available BIOS updates and drivers.
Battery Health Check via HP Support Assistant
The HP Support Assistant can sometimes provide additional insights and solutions.
- Open the HP Support Assistant on your laptop.
- Go to the "Battery" section and perform a battery check.
- Follow any recommendations provided by the tool.
Battery Reset
If your battery is removable, you can try resetting it.
- Turn off the laptop and unplug the power adapter.
- Remove the battery.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
- Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter, and turn on the laptop.
Additional Tips
- Always use the original charger that came with your laptop to avoid compatibility issues.
- Avoid leaving your laptop plugged in for extended periods when it's not in use, as this can shorten battery lifespan.
Given the symptoms and the failure code, it seems likely that the battery has reached the end of its lifespan and will need to be replaced.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @EduardoLopes12,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code you provided (FAILURE ID: M0C164-BGDB01-MPX1F-C6F203) indicates a hardware failure, specifically related to the battery. Here are some steps you can take to address the issue.
Check the Power Adapter and Port:
- Ensure that the power adapter is working correctly. Test it with another compatible device if possible.
- Inspect the charging port on the laptop for any damage or debris.
Update BIOS and Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website and check for any available BIOS or driver updates for your model. Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve charging issues.
Battery Calibration:
- Fully charge the laptop while it is powered off.
- Once fully charged, let it discharge completely while in use.
- Repeat the process to recalibrate the battery.
Battery Reset:
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect the power adapter.
- Remove the battery (if it is removable) and press the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reinsert the battery and reconnect the power adapter.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
- Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Run the battery test to see if it provides more detailed information or confirms the failure.
Replace the Battery:
- Given that the diagnostic test indicates a battery failure, it is likely that the battery needs to be replaced.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
