Ok I agree with you, But before the update when it was power offed and not running. It consumes less battery and now when I shutdown like yesterday at 60% or 64% . And when I open it today I feel that it consumes more battery for background functions. I feel uncomfortable with this update. Please reply me back.

Microsoft new updates are integrating new AI capabilities, more bloats which cause more power consumption. You have to optimize windows by uninstall useless apps, debloating, disabling useless services, startup apps, low brightness, turning off features not using like location, bluetooth, etc.

• Many good windows optimization guide available on internet you can follow any. I suggest you to use chris titus utility tool to optimize it. You can watch this video, follow it and optimize your laptop. Go safe.

•Perform clean boot it will disable 3rd party startup apps and the one causing this. You can use those app normally when open it just won't launch automatically.

Perform Clean Boot:

1. Press Windows + R, type msconfig, hit Enter.

2. General tab: "Select Selective startup," uncheck "Load startup items."

3. Services tab: Check "Hide all Microsoft services," then "Disable all"; Apply.

4. Startup tab: Click "Open Task Manager," disable all enabled items; close Task Manager.

5. OK > Restart; this will disble startup apps.

That's all.

You can perform system restore point dated before that update if available to get back to previous state. Get it and try

yeah! But Microsoft should make an appropriate update for the win 11 users. I am very disappointed with this kind of issue. Since, I have been using this win 11 for 1 year ago and no problem faced like this. So, please I am requesting to please fix this update. I am very disappointed with this kind of update.

That's how things are going right now. Probably due to AI

I've just called HP on the same issue. The laptop is new, two months old. I noticed that when it is powered off, the battery drains on its own. Left overnight powered off, not sleep or hibernate, off, at 100% fully charged, upon power up, it's at 60%, and if left not used (I have different laptops), it is dead completely.  HP is sending a technician to replace the "battery," but I don't think this is a battery issue; something else is happening. BIOS changed per HP as well to stop phantom scripts running. I suspect it has to do with the AI running.
