@victus15f, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing rapid battery drain on your HP Victus laptop, with only 1–2 hours of backup from a full charge. Let's work through some steps to help improve your battery life.

Update BIOS and Drivers

Outdated BIOS or drivers can cause power management issues.

Run HP Battery Check

This tool checks battery health and calibration.

  • Open HP Support Assistant > Battery > Battery Check
  • Or use this guide: HP Battery Check Tool

Adjust Power Settings

Use Windows' built-in power plans to optimize battery usage.

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery
  • Set Power Mode to Best Power Efficiency
  • Turn off Background Apps and reduce screen brightness

Check for Background Processes

High GPU/CPU usage from apps like games or editing software can drain the battery.

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
  • End tasks that are consuming high resources unnecessarily

Disable RTX GPU on Battery

The RTX 2050 can consume a lot of power. Use integrated graphics when on battery.

  • Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings
  • Set Preferred Graphics Processor to Integrated Graphics for battery mode

Battery Calibration (Optional)

If the battery percentage is inaccurate, calibration might help:

  • Calibrate Your Notebook Battery

You may refer to this document - HP Notebook PCs - Testing and calibrating the battery (Windows) | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
