HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000 Laptop PC (2P1Z6AV)

Recently, I replaced the battery in my laptop. After the replacement, the charging percentage always shows 100%, and the laptop only turns on when the charger is plugged in. If I unplug the charger, it only works for about 5 minutes. I have tried all possible solutions, including updating the BIOS, resetting the BIOS to default settings, and reinstalling the battery driver. However, when I generate the battery health report, it doesn't display any information, such as total battery capacity or remaining capacity. I also attempted a hard reset, but that didn't solve the issue either. What should I do?

Is it a genuine HP battery or a third party "compatible". Very possible to get a bad battery. Sellers are usually willing to offer a replacement if you act quickly. Sounds as if that battery is a problem. If a second one does the same thing we need to think about a hardware problem with the laptop itself.

It is a third-party compatible battery. However, before replacing the battery, I noticed the same problem, so I initially thought it was related to the battery. My old battery had a health percentage of less than 50%, which is why I decided to replace it. Unfortunately, the issue persists. What is the solution to this problem?

Well if replacing the battery has not changed the way the charging works, it is likely an issue with the charging circuitry on the motherboard and that is not something one repairs, it would require replacement of the motherboard. I would try one more battery before jumping to that conclusion however, particularly if you can get the seller to just replace it.
