Hello i own a Hp 15-d014sv, product number: E8P35EA#AB7 and id like to change the battery for a relative cheap price, i found on local marketplaces a battery for a hp 240 G2  a) looks eactly the same b)supports 15b according to the store's site. Besides that the battery i currently have says REPLACE WITH HP SPARE CT 6D88L05VT5X5OB  740715-001 and that site says the 740715-001 number as well. The battery on itself lists 14.8V and 41Wh Li-ion while the new battery on the store's site lists 14.4-14.8V and 38Wh Li-ion. Are they compatible?

We source laptop batteries by HP Part Number, not the model of the laptop. If the seller says that battery is compatible with 740715-001 then it will work. I confirmed in the Service Manual for your model that it is the right part number for you to order.

They are selling you a battery with slightly less capacity 38 wh vs. 41 wh you should understand.

yes i know that theyre selling less wh but it'll still be more hours before the laptop needs charging since the old battery has lost a lot battery life (id say its 8-10 yo). Thanks for confirming that they're compatible
