The Service and Maintenance Guide for your system says the correct battery is HP part number 800049-001, which is described by HP Parts as a KI04 battery (that's a capital letter i, not a 1).

I would not order any other battery as no alternative parts to that battery are listed.

my laptop battery 800049-001 - 4 cells - 41 whr - 14.6 volt.   The replacements I find have 4 cells  but differing  whr numbers, differing voltage, differing   AH rates and different  mAh values.   I can find no info as to what the specific values should be.  Where might I find such values??  Thanks.

Hi,

Depending where you are you can purchase the original battery or quality compatible battery from official reseller. Here is one in Europe:

Hope it helps,
