Hello,

I would like to know if there is a battery upgrade from the 3 cell battery that came with this laptop. I received it as a gift for my birthday last year and the battery was useless before the year was up. It does not hold a charge at all and when it did , it did  not last the full 4 hours it claimed to.  If there is one , where can I find it? I've searched just about every where online I can think of.  This is the battery it comes with :  3-cell (31 WHr) Li-ion polymer. I do have the HP Manual at hand in pdf and physical .

Thank you in advance

Denise

Hi,

Currently it has 3-cell (31 WHr) Li-ion polymer part number 76622-001

    https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04936074

And you can get

  4 cell, 41 Wh, 2.8 Ah part numberr 752237-001

which will give you a little bit more time between charge (from 31Wh to 41Wh) which 25% more or 33% more depending on which angle you are looking at. But in real life, this may vary from 10% to 20%.

Regards.
