i would like to buy a battery pack for my  laptop.  The ac  input for my wired charger can be tricky. i would like a battery pack that i can use via the usb c input.  will a usb c work?  i cant find info

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

For battery: It uses  3-cell, 41 Wh Li-ion battery part # L11119-855 which is N/A from HP now.  You can use part # to buy online from Anazon, Newegg ... and eBay. Amazon is selling it for $30.
