I have been given the above laptop for repair, which has an display problem, which I need some backup info to enable me to fix it.

When one moves the mouse on the screen the display flickers and goes from completely blank and blinks a lot of the time which makes it very difficult to read.    I have tried an external monitor, but that does not activate at all, but in my testing, I have found that if I remove the battery, the display works fine on the charger, and the mouse also works fine.

I think it must be the battery effecting the display via the mouse pad, so what I am asking for is some further information of the mouse and battery, to enable me to determine if it is the battery or not.     I feel it is the battery but cannot be sure as it could be the Graphics chip.

Also if I plug in a cable mouse into a USB slot, it does not recognise it and I am unable to use it.     I believe it is a software problem, but I cannot determine which needs to be updated.

I have never had a battery effecting the screen when one moves the mouse, I have fitted a new battery, and a new Mouse pad, but still have the flashing and blank screen, so hopefully can you reply with some ideas that could lead me to fixing this problem.

My email is   ID..

Many regards
