bluetooth not working on brand new chromebook

If Bluetooth isn't working on your brand new HP Chromebook, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try.

 

  • Restart Your Chromebook: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled: Go to your Chromebook's settings and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Check Device Compatibility: Ensure that the device you're trying to connect to is compatible with your Chromebook and Bluetooth.
  • Update Chrome OS: Make sure your Chromebook's operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, updates include fixes for Bluetooth issues.
  • Forget and Reconnect Devices: If you've previously connected the device to your Chromebook, try forgetting the device and then reconnecting it.
  • Reset Bluetooth Settings: In your Chromebook's settings, you may have the option to reset Bluetooth settings to default. This can sometimes fix connectivity issues.
  • Check for Interference: Bluetooth signals can be affected by interference from other devices. Try moving your Chromebook and the device you're trying to connect to closer together, and away from other electronic devices.

It is difficult to help you if we don't know which specific model you own..

 

Your Chromebook should have the product name and product number on the bottom.
