Hi,
I would like to upgrade my Laptop Bluetooth 4.2 to Bluetooth 5.0 or 5.2 .
The wireless interface is:
851594-001
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265, 802.11ac, 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 combination WLAN adapter
See https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=4qy68es
I would like to know what HP part number I need to buy what is compatible with my Laptop, I guess something like
- L92724-005 WLAN 11ax 2x2 INT AX201NGW-W HrP2 NV
or
- Intel AX211 Wi-Fi 6e + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 160 MHz CNVi WW WLAN module M53366-001
thank you
Phil

Hi:
You would not be able to use any Intel card where the model number ends in a '1'.
That is because they are CNVio cards and only work in the notebooks that originally came with one.
What Are the Intel® Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) and Companion...
I suggest either one of these to experiment with as an alternate. These were used in the Elitebook 830 G6 notebooks.
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11ax 2 × 2 + Bluetooth 5 (non-vPro) L35282-002
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11ax 2 × 2 + Bluetooth 5 (vPro) L35284-002 (if your notebook supports Intel vPro technology).
You should be able to find either one of these cards on eBay.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure.
