The bottom panel on my HP Spectre x360 has come loose.  I noticed a small gap at the back of the laptop, and I can't push it completely closed with my fingers.

I suspect there's some sort of locking mechanism on the back of the bottom panel that's slipped out of its socket, preventing me from closing it without replacing the entire bottom panel.

As I saw on the community similar cases to mine it is possibly an assembly problem; what can I do? thanks for the support!

Hi there! Thanks for the answer;

I've been trying to contact the support on whattsapp but the answer I've got is that the kind of damage is not covered by the warranty and even if the laptop is still covered I should be paying 380 dollars in order to get it fixed by the assistance, and that is not either possible an on site intervention.. I think it should be covered by the warranty, I risk that dust gets in the device compromising the entire functionality.

@Floketch,

The service options are available only with the support team and you need to get in touch with them to find a suitable option for you.

Cheers!
