Hi,

Sorry, using hardware id I can't find driver for Windows 10 anywhere except the following work around:

a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program (your downloaded SPnnnn file),

b. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.

c. In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

d. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click OK.

e. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.

Regards.

I solved this by using a driver for the same chipset that is available from Lenovo here..

https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/gew413ww.exe

How I did it -

1) Do a ful upgrade to Win 10 using the ISO from Microsoft

2) Install all the other HP components so they are up-to-date (Bluetooth, trackpad, BIOS etc. etc.)

3) When that all works - install the Lenovo Broadcom driver

Worked for me.

By the way, Envy X2 with Windows 10 is really a pretty decent computer. Much better than Win 8 or Win 8.1 on the same hardware.

Touchscreen also works perfectly under Win 10 by the way.

Filippo thanks a lot for your helpful infos. I think me too that with Windows 8.1 works better the HP Envy X2 g001 but I don't like at all the graphical enrinment "tablet-like" of windows 8.1.

What I suggest to HP is to don't "forget" about all the customers because even if anyone owns an HP device made 10 years ago, he has to be supported, because solving problems, HP invites to buy new HP products!

In my 36 years of I.T. experience, I saw tis.

HP, IBM has failed and "crushed" just because for them the "basic customers" hadn't supported.

Thanks again for solving my problem!

P.S. : I'm an HP fun 100% since 1986 when I reached my "Diploma" in I.T.
