17z-ca000 laptop

Does HP have a solution for broken hinges on their laptops?  I have a 17z-ca000 which is a couple years old (and now out of warranty); the plastic portion of the keyboard assembly into which the hinges are screwed/secured have broken.  It's a shame that a $1k laptop uses such a poorly designed case with weak plastic supports.  I see that I can not buy the replacement parts from HP.  So, does HP have a way for me to get this issue fixed?  Also, considering that this is a systematic issue with HP laptops, has HP implemented a design fix to newer laptops?

@haaken

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

We are here for you, this sounds like hardware related issue with the Hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
