Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The unit is a 2008 with a blu ray light scribe drive but no software recognizes my drive. Is there a driver for this drive. If so , where?

What is your machine ? Not all D5000 machines have BD drive. It is more than 12 years old now, it came with Vista and CyberLink DVD Suite 5. Did you upgrade to Windows 10 ? What are you trying to do now ? After 12 years, its ODD could be useless.

 

Please download and install

 

          ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78217.exe

 

Hope the software can wake it up otherwise sorry.
