There are questions related to SSD but i couldn't find one for sleekbook 15 b006ee and so raised this.
My HP sleekbook 15 b006ee became old and running slow on inbuilt HDD. I want to add an SSD to improve OS performance.
Is there a slot available?
Any know-hows on how to do it and references for installing ssd are highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

This model is getting some age on it now. And the way it works is a bit complicated. It was designed to use a 24 or 32 gig mSATA "acceleration cache" mSSD that works together with the hard drive to speed it up using Intel Rapid Storage software.
This type of SSD looks like this:
Using one of these is a bit of a lost art but you can plug it in and set some settings in the app and reboot a couple times and your boot speed and speed of opening apps will improve quite a bit.
Here is the Service Manual:
These mSATA mSSDs are pretty inexpensive and obviously there is an advantage to not having to reinstall your OS and software but the possible dealbreaker is that the slot is on the backside of the motherboard so a bit tricky to install.
Your other option is to replace the hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD like this:
These are a bit more money to buy but a bit easier to install and perform much better than the mSATA accelerator. See p. 47 of the Manual. You would have to reinstall Windows and your apps on one of these but we can help with that, too.
