can I replace my HDD with an SSD and if so, which one would fit? Would a Samsung do the job (which I believe contains all the programs required to copy the old HDD)?
Thanks for any help.
PS The laptop is only 5 years old, thus my request and wish for it to run faster.

Hi:
Unfortunately. you cannot upgrade the drive in that model notebook since it comes with a 32 GB eMMC drive.

The memory is not upgradable either.
Below is the link to the service manual.
The only option you have for an upgrade is to replace the motherboard with one that comes with a 64 GB eMMC drive, and that certainly would not be worth the expense or work to do such an upgrade.

Thanks so much for your super speedy and ultra professional reply. This really helps, even if it now means, that I have 2 laptops that I need to discard, as one cannot be upgraded with ssd (the hp one) and the acer is already 10 years old so not really worthit either. I wish that we could use raw materials and components of laptops/computers more sensibly.
