My HP Laptop 14z-cm000 came with insufficient memory. Can I increase the memory or should I just "trash" it as junk?

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for the model series.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06245114

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

The amount of memory you can add depends on the processor and the number of memory slots your notebook comes with.

The 'Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable,' means that HP recommends that upgrades be performed by an authorized service center.

The memory removal and replacement procedure can be found in chapter 5.

I was told I could do 2 x 8gb in mine. But there is only a slot for 1? Can I upgrade slots or add another one?
