My laptop came with an 1tb(5400rpm) harddrive and i want to install an m.2 ssd in my laptop which ssd should i pick and is it possible to install an m.2 ssd without removing my original harddrive.I mean does it have an m.2 ssd slot or i have to swap my original harddrive for this upgrade. 

please help

Hi,

I do not believe your PC has an extra slot for M2 SSD. So what you can do is replace the 2.5" Hard Drive with a 2,5" SSD such as the Samsung 860 Evo or similar.

On page 60 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive:

There is something mentioned about m.2 ssd in the user manual of my laptop so i just thought that it does support that

You can always remove the bottom cover and take a look. (page 53 of service manual)

If you replace the the 2,5" drive with an SSD it will give considerable boost to PC. The same boost as an M2 SATA3 SSD.

Thanks for the help brother but there is an issue that i dont know how to open the laptop to see internals also i dont want to remove my 1 tb harddrive also i dont want the caddy system thats why i was asking question.
