Here is the manual for that model

On page 48 and following it shows the hard drive and how to change it.  They do make a 2.5" SATA SSD that can replace it with a mounting adapter.  It does not have a M.2 slot.

Here is an idea to have both.  He suggests replacing the DVD/CD drive while using an adapter to mount the drive in place of the DVD/CD drive.
