Welcome to HP Forums,
Let's get straight to it!
(As an upgrade/custom enthusiast I personally love the idea of upgrading the device as well, However, HP recommends that you go easy on it as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed below are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)
That said, If you've not checked the service & upgrade guide: Click here to access it (Page. 6 Chapter 1 Product description)
Here's a screenshot for your ease of access:
To answer your question, the 2x2 Dual-band card supports 5ghz frequency, however, I would personally suggest using an external USB wireless dongle as it's portable and easy to install, compared to the internal replacements which could cause compatibility issues among others, let me know what you'd like to do.
And if you like my suggestion or if it helped resolve the issue,
Mark this post as the solution and give it a thumbs up
Good luck.
