Hi:

Some models do not come with built in bluetooth.

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the network adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wifi adapter.

HP Recommended

okay, there're

Network adapters

- Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

- Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter

- Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

Other devices

- Ralink_RT3290_Bluetooth_01

-Unknown device

About "Ralink_RT3290_Bluetooth_01":

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

HP Recommended

OK, the Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

Did you install the required W7 Ralink Bluetooth driver from your notebook's support page?

That would be the only reason I can think of as to why the BT isn't working.

This package contains the driver installation package for the MediaTek/Ralink Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

The unknown device probably needs this driver...

Receives notifications from the integrated accelerometer and automatically parks the hard drive to reduce the risk of damage if the PC is accidentally dropped.

I've installed the driver installation package and restarted the computer. What shall I do next?

HP Recommended

If the Ralink bluetooth 01 and the unknown devices are gone from the other devices section, then you should be able to use the bluetooth now.

HP Recommended

no, they're not gone(

HP Recommended

Sorry that didn't work.  The Ralink bluetooth driver should have installed the bluetooth  device.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why the driver I posted didn't work.

Here is a guide to find the hardware ID's.

Use this and then google the hardware ID for the unknown device so you can find the right driver for it from your notebook's support page.

BTW, there are several different Probook 450 model generations nowadays...G0, G1, G2, G3 and G4.
