Yes, changing the keyboard to a backlit keyboard is an option on this series.

The bad news, if there is such a thing:

You have to disassemble the laptop to get to and change out the keyboard.

Certainly doable with the right skill set and some patience.

 

"The top cover with keyboard remains after removing all other spare parts from the computer."
