Did you upgrade/downgrade your machine ?  What EXACTLY is your Pavilion ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

                              or

        https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108


Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

 

Note: there  are hundreds of HP models/products called Pavilion's.

I purchased the machine in November (brand new) still in the box. I went to update my sd card from my car and the laptop does not even recognize that there is an sd card in the slot.
