HP ENVY 15-ds1000 x360 Convertible Laptop PC (8VP59AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an ENVY x360 Convertible 15-ds1xxx. I want to be able to have it plugged in when I'm in the car. I have a car converter charger that I used with my previous laptop (a Dell), but it doesn't seem to work right with this computer.

The computer has a USB-C input with a lightening bolt, as well as the round input where I plug in my regular wall charger. What are my options for plugging in/charging in the car?

TIA,

Jenny

Hi @MrsJennyK

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are charging related queries for your system. Do not worry, we are here to look into it.

The specs of your machine are: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-envy-15-ds1000-x360-convertible-laptop-pc-series/32552501/do...

  1. Charge using USB-C port: The USB-C port on your machine does NOT support Power Delivery.
  2. Using adapter: yes, your machine requires a 65 W AC power adapter therefore you need an adapter with the same Watt out for it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
