I am using hp victus s0095ax with ryzen 7 7840hs cpu and rtx 3050 6gb
7840hs is inbuiltly undercloacked (in firmware) to 3.6ghz which is not even base cloak speed (3.8ghz)at its full utilization it has capability of 5.1ghz most of companys like lenovo and asus with 45watts you are still low at 54watts utilization has cloak speed of 4.9ghz in most of the cpu i am disappointed with hp by this action.I buyed hp laptop by seeing your performance and technical support but i am disappointed with this actionthis makes a bad impression on you
I am requesting you to remove this issue without affecting gpu(3050) performance by giving firmware update
I have checked this issue to all hp laptop users with 7840hs CPU with Reddit, discord, YouTube, Facebook I am strictly prohibited this issue some hp user says you are not responding to this issue it is not with me i will take this issue seriously.

Hi @Vikash236,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing issues with the Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU in your HP Victus s0095ax laptop not reaching its expected clock speeds. This can indeed be frustrating, especially if other manufacturers' laptops with the same CPU are performing better. Here are some steps and considerations to address the issue.
Steps to Address the Issue
Update BIOS/Firmware:
- Check if there is a BIOS or firmware update available for your laptop on the HP support website. Updates can sometimes address performance issues and improve hardware utilization.
Power Settings:
- Ensure your power plan is set to "High Performance." Sometimes, power settings can limit the CPU's ability to reach higher clock speeds.
HP Command Center:
- If your laptop has HP Command Center or a similar utility, check the performance settings. Make sure it is set to performance mode rather than balanced or power-saving modes.
Thermal Management:
- Ensure the laptop is adequately cooled. Overheating can cause the CPU to throttle, reducing its clock speed. Use a cooling pad or ensure proper ventilation.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
