hi i just wanna fix a damaged power cable connection for notebook hp 15-af108nl oldish i know... I wanna bypass female jack connector and joining directly to the cord of flat connector, ( 2 red wires , 2 black wires , 1 green, 1 white, 1 brown)  .

Anyway i can guess what red and black means , positive and negative? but the other ones what is the purpose ?

Never mind the battery ... the goal is to power the notebook directly to the home power source plug.

Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I am afraid, that may not work. You may have to buy a new cable😊

To get more details on that, I recommend you contact phone support/ nearest service center.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

i don't want to contact hp center... just know what colors means! It is an old notebook and i would avoid any delivery for assistance etc, there are 2 choices , repair it by myself or throw it to waste center.

That's it.

If someone can help me it's good, otherwise ... aloha.
