Hi my question is simple can i upgrade my compaq cq60 305ea single core cpu to a dual core cpu and if so which one should i use? the bios is F54 so i think this the latest version any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

Here's the Service Manual:

 

Manual

 

All AMD versions  of that laptop use the same motherboard so you can use any of the AMD processors listed in the Manual and this is the best:

 

■ ZM-82 2.2-GHZ processor

 

Not expensive:
