I own a  HP ENVY x360 convertible 15m-cp0012dx 15.6"               with a AMD Ryzen 7 2700U 2.2GHz Motherboard L25820-601.

my battery bloated and I exchanged it since then it does not charge. I changed power jack nothing changed . the mother board is not easy to find . so my question is can I use the intel board instead>  HP ENVY X360 15-CN INTEL CORE I7-8550U GEFORCE MX150 2GB MOTHERBOARD L19450- in comparison all connection are the same ! thanks for any help !!

I thank you for answering . .  I think I found my answer  after waiting for a reply .  Setting the intel and amd systems side by side  I then checked  ALL the parts they both have  by their serial numbers  (display .keyboard speakers  etc., including the cooling fan for processor.  the result is  I can switch  certain intel boards they will fit  ,   Taking the time to truly check does pay of . thanks for trying  to help .

No. You will need to use an AMD motherboard from the list in the Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop.

https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06001791.pdf

You will also need a new Windows operating system activation key.

The previous key for the laptop was tied to the system board by MAC address on the Microsoft Licensing servers.

From the aforementioned  manual:  Notice that there are different part numbers for versions for Windows and non-Windows operating systems!

(8) System board (includes processor and replacement thermal material):

Equipped with an AMD Ryzen7 2700U 2.20-GHz (turbo boost to 3.8-GHz) processor (2400-
MHz FSB, 6.0-MB L3 cache, 15.0-W), an AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 Mobile Graphics subsystem,
and the Windows 10 operating system

That is interesting. The manual for your laptop lists only AMD platform system boards. Using one of the AMD system boards is taking the safe and proven route.

I wouldn't want to take the financial risk or possible frustration of putting in a system board that is not meant for the laptop enclosure.

I do wish you success in your  risky endeavor. It is your laptop.

Well not very surprising !! When I look up the manual for a part for my chevy it tells me to use OEM parts and not to go to Auto zone , O'Reilly or others even if they sell very compatible BRAND  NAME  makers for the same part . Same here pretty clear HP wants you to use the way more expensive AMD parts ,because of this model number . Conveniently not mentioning that there is another model EXACTLY the same  using intel .( quiet a bit cheaper in price I might add ) So calling it risky is pretty far fetched and a bit misleading scare tactic !!   I am just glad I kept doing my research.   But I do thank you for your input.
