I have a

HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq003dx (ENERGY STAR)

Product W2K42UA
HP would not tell me the specs on a hard drive replacement.
there does not seem to be any diagnostic app anymore.
HP leaves people in the cold...
Not sure why but the computer is acting up.  It was working great until a few weeks ago.
Just not happy that i cannot even find my laptop in the legacy area.
This is some BS.

If you want to install a new drive, I would replace the 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).

Something like this:

Amazon.com: Western Digital 1TB WD Blue SA510 SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s,...

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure:

HP Envy x360 m6 Convertible PC (model numbers m6-aq1XX and m6-aq0XX) Maintenance and Service GuideIM...

While you're in there, you may as well max out the memory.

Remove the 4 GB memory chip and replace it with an 8 GB memory chip so the memory runs in the better performing dual channel mode.

Yeah, I replaced the memory a while ago, and the battery.  however I have only 12gb ram...   That should be enough, but it acutally sucks right now.  I think 8 was the max it would take, but I wish I could put in more.   Not even sure where to look.

Installing a SSD should pep things up quite a bit.

So what I did was get this:    Crucial P3 Plus 1TB 3D NAND Flash PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe M.2 Internal SSD - Micro Center

It is about 1000 times faster.   Boots up in 5 seconds and when you go to Edge it comes right up!!!... WOW....  There is a port for it... however the bios does not seem to see it.   I used a windows creation media USB card and it found the m2 card.  Bypassed TPM and security check and now running windows 11 wicked fast so far.
