OMEN by HP 15-dc1040nr

My Omen 15-dc1040nr came with a 128GB M2-SSD and a 1TB HDD, which I have since upgraded to a 512GB M2-SSD and a 2TB SATA SSD in the 2.5" bay

Since I use a laptop for video editing & not gaming, I want secondary storage for storing and rendering video files, and I'd like a larger screen to work with.

On none of the specs for the new Omens can I see a slot for a second drive, which will rule out getting another Omen, unless they have an extra bay and are just not listing it in the specs. Even a 2nd M2slot would suffice since 2TB M2-SSD's are coming down in price now.

Do any of the new HP Omens or high end laptops come with room for 2 drives?

Hi:

I believe you have to move up to a notebook with a 16" display.

It is probably not much larger than your notebook is now, if at all.

Here a service manual for the older Omen 16-b0000 model series which can have two NVMe SSD's.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

The newer 16-b1000 models can support Gen 4 MVMe SSDs'.

You can also look into one of the Victus 16" models.

Unfortunately, HP does not have the updated service manual for the 16-b1xxx

Before buying a new notebook check out the service manual for the model series first.
