my HP envy laptop has a cooling fan failure and the local repair shops can not find any part for it, they recommend sending it in to HP authorized service centers.
i am not able to find out how to do this on the HP website and when i go to the service center locator it only shows the one that could not find any replacement parts.
what should i do next

Hi:
I did a general search in the HP parts surfer website and from what I can tell, all of the 17t-cg000 CTO notebooks come with two cooling fans--one for the CPU and one for the GPU.
If enter your notebook's product number in the HP part surfer website, you will find the part numbers for the CPU/GPU fans.
L87961-001 | CPU FAN |
L87962-001 | GPU FAN |
I did a search on eBay for both of the above part numbers, and I do see both fans for sale.
HP does not sell the fans.
You can buy the fan that has failed. or buy both and take your PC into your local PC repair shop for service.
