@sweety11, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP 14s-fq0000 Laptop PC is displaying a warning that the cooling fan is not working properly, it is important to address this issue promptly to prevent overheating, which can lead to hardware damage. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Steps to Troubleshoot Cooling Fan Issue:
Check Vents and Fan:
- Ensure that the air vents are not obstructed by dust or debris. Use compressed air to gently clean the vents and fan.
Restart the Laptop:
- Sometimes, simply restarting the laptop can resolve temporary issues with fan performance.
Update BIOS and Drivers:
- Ensure that the BIOS and any relevant hardware drivers are updated to the latest version. Visit the HP Support website, enter your laptop model, and check for the latest updates.
Perform System Diagnostics:
- Use HP's built-in system diagnostics tool to perform a component test on the fan to check for potential issues.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
