Hi,

i want to upgrade the processor i have now  I7 7500 u  7th gen, What is the compatible processors i can go for and compatible with the main board like gen8 or 9.

Hi:

 

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded unless you replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of the service manual that may come with a newer processor (which there aren't).

The costs associated with doing such an upgrade (assuming you could find the parts you needed), would exceed the cost you paid for your notebook, making such an upgrade a very poor return on investment.

 

If your notebook has a TPM 2.0 security module, it is fairly easy to get the in-place upgrade to W11.

 

Let me know if you want the procedure for doing that.  I've done it on a Dell PC with an i7-7700 processor and a TPM 2.0 device.
