Okay so i was thinking of buying a 2.5 inch ssd and installing it on a 2.5 inch hard drive slot (form 2.5 inch hdd. so i would attach it to the cn 1700 port. With original hp cable (Hard drive cable L23187-001)
stay on topic, what do you think, do i need a hard drive cover L23219-001(of course i need a cable)? or can I attach it to something else?

There is no need for a cover on an M.2 SSD.
I take it that your plan is to upgrade to one with a higher capacity.

Hello, you have actually a PCIe NVMe m.2 SSD, and you want to add a SATA 2.5 SSD. So you need probably to buy the caddie and the connection cable. However you need to open the PC if you want to be sure you don't have this parts on your PC.

In effect it is better if not installed in your PC. do you have checked if you have the connector for the drive??

You absolutely need the cable. The sled/caddy you can do without espescially if it is an SSD as an SSD has no moving parts and does not need to be bolted down. You can find generic rubber or styrofoam brackets you can put on the 2.5 inch disk and stabilize it in the slot or, with an SSD you can stick it in there with a piece of double sided tape. With a hard drive I would be sure it is absolutely unable to move around.
