I have to send in my HP Envy for repair.  I just need to know if I have to send in the power cord.  There is no mention of it on the sheet with instructions for sending back

Almost never would you want to include the AC adapter or the cord.

 

The only reason to ever do that would be if the difficulty specifically involved the electrical / charge system and you were requested to include these items.

 

Leave the AC adapter and the power cord out of the box.

 

Techs have piles of these of every description to use at the repair depot.
