Yes it has a single slot for an M.2 SSD so you have to replace the half TB drive you have with a 2 TB. Here is the Service Manual:
The Manual shows HP only offered this model series with up to a 512 gb SSD, but there will be no problem installing the 2 TB. You can use an NVME M.2 SSD such as this:
