HP 2013 UltraSlim Docking Station
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

does anyone know what video resolution the hp docking stations support

It's really hard to navigate this and I expect very little feedback but will still give it a try.

I have a docking station from HP (which is quite old HP 2013 UltraSlim Docking Station)

I have it mainly because my company work computers are mainly HP so it's easier to integrate.

Anyway I had one monitor and today I bought a second monitor.

The problem is that I can make any of my single monitors work in 4K but when I connect both only one of them works in 4K the other one works in a smaller resolution.

I could not find anywhere in the technical specs why this might be.

https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04168358

If I connect both monitors I can make them work as 4K if they are using "duplicate displays" in the display settings but as soon as I try to extend the displays in the display settings on windows automatically one goes into 1920*1080 and the other one stays in 3840*2160

Anyone has an idea what might be the cause?

I changed the cables so I don't think this is the problem.

Also both monitors support display port 1.2 and 1.4 so also that I don't think would be the problem

I have more than one computer but this one I'm using now is a Elitebook G6 8xx so I don't think this would be a problem in the computer either.

Hi,

On page 1 of service manual for the elitebook 840 g6

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06358101.pdf

HP UltraSlim Docking Station - maximum resolution = 2.5K @ 60 Hz (DisplayPort 1) and 2.5K @ 60 Hz
(DisplayPort 2) and FHD (VGA)

So both at 4K with different image not possible I believe.

Hope it helps,

David
