NVME is about 5 times faster and not much more expensive so you want NVME. The size is 2280. 22mm wide and 80mm long. That is about the only kind being sold now. I still like the Samsung 970 Evo or Evo Plus but there are many very good NVME Gen 3 M.2 SSDs on the market.
A couple options for you:
Both these offer multiple sizes (capacity in Gb) for more or less money.
Service Manual showing how to install
pp. 31-38

It has a single M.2 SSD slot that will accommodate either a SATA or NVME type 2280 form factor M.2 SSD. Specs say your laptop came with just a hard drive so the M.2 slot was empty from the factory and you could use it to install an SSD.
