This is a common question.
Lacking the information on your unknown computer, you can still find the information for yourself.
First, you need to know the model name of your computer and open the computer's Device Home website.
Next, Check either the user manual or the service guide -- look in the area that describes the Action keys.
Open
Enter the device type and model name of your HP product
Select and open Category Setup & User Guides
Find and open the User Guide or the Maintenance and Service Guide (the exact name of this document can vary)
Check the section(s) that describe the "Specialty keys" and / or "Action keys"
Look for mention of the key that includes the icon for a Backlit keyboard.
No icon on any of the keys = keyboard does not include a backlit keyboard.
