Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a question regarding my laptop's support for USB-C with video signal. I own a portable monitor that can output video and power, but I'm unable to make it work with my laptop using just one USB-C cable. It functions when I use an additional power source (USB). However, if I connect only the USB-C port, I receive an error message in Windows 11.
