The systemboard  for the  HP 6460b does support a UEFI environment.

Did you mean to say switch from legacy MBR format to GPT?

Power on your notebook and log into Windows.

Hold down the Windows key and tap the R key.

Type in MSINFO32 and press enter.

Look down the Item list to find the BIOS, To the right you will either see Legacy or UEFI.

Which do you see?

What is the version of BIOS that is currentyl installed?

Use the same method (Win+R and enter MSINFO32) I described to see the BIOS version.

This time look for the BIOS version/date item and the SMBIOS version.

Kindly post it here in your thread.

OK.

You have the most recent BIOS installed already.

Frankly speaking, It has nothing to do with a few keys not working.

I suggest that you install the UEFI environment and then run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Component test for the keyboard.

The most recent version is at the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics website at the link below.

Kindly post the result of the keyboard component test here in your thread.
