does not recognizes Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe

hi there
does Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD working on HP Pavilion 15-bc300ne core i5-7200U ??
i have intel 540s SATA M.2 installed right now .. is working
what about  Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD ??
i tested it at 2019, my Laptop does not recognizes it .. i thought NVMe does not working because of motherboard.. Any Advice to upgrade it ?

Hi:

You'd have to find and buy a motherboard used in the 15-bc400 or 15-bc500 model series where the M.2 slot supports M.2 NVMe SSDs.

The 15-bc400 indicates the M.2 slot is SATA only, but it also supports Intel Optane memory which is PCIe.

A few other forum members have successfully installed NVMe SSDs in the 15-bc400 model series.

If you are using Windows, make sure you get a replacement motherboard that has a Windows product key in the BIOS which is denoted with the -601 suffix in the motherboard part number.

hi Paul...
i asked "Google AI" about my laptop and if i can install NVMe, the answer was "yes" i can..
i tested again few days ago with an NVMe MZ-VLW1280, yes my Laptop recognized it, tried to clone my Windows 10 on old SATA M.2 SSD to the New NVMe, but i got error like boot device not found (3F0), also i tried hp recovery media from USB Drive and got errors like 0xEFFFFF08 and 0xEFFFFF24, and then i found my Recovey media is Expired or corrupted, i got windows 11 in USB drive and installed on the NVMe and finally installed easy and working fine with no errors, not sure what is changed in my laptop from year 2019 to 2026, maybe update bios make the laptop recognize the NVMe, or old Samsung SSD Evo Plus has error with first Firmware and then they updated it, i was sad for many years because of my laptop working only with old SSD SATA M.2, i thought because of old motherboard design..
not sure yet if i install windows 10 will be installed with no errors same like windows 11 (i want to try)
the problem i could not find the recovery media in HP Cloud Recovery Tool, my model not there anymore, maybe they removed it lately because windows 10 is being old right now ?
