Before I had a motherboard: DV4-2145DX NBW20 LA-4117P
Buy a motherboard: DV4-2170US 590350-001 NAL70 LA-4106P
Can you help me, please, choose the best processor for this motherboard?
I was looking for information, but hp partsurfer says it uses an i5-430M processor and in the service and maintenance guide it only mentions two processors: i5-520M and i5-540M.
What processor can I use and what is detected by the BIOS?
Thanks...

I looked at the BIOS updates for that model and it doesn't say anything about CPU support but - you can try it.. It will not really hurt other than say the CPU is not supported.
Also see they call the i5-540M a dual core in other places.

The i7-620M processor is compatible with that socket and that chipset, is there any update for the BIOS that supports this processor or is it the most capable of supporting the i5-540M processor?
Another question, the manual says: Intel Arrandale Single-Core i5-540M, but when I search on ebay, they all say: Dual-Core, is there a problem with this?
Thanks for your support...
