I could not find its full specs, only:
http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c01696918
but from its Maintenance Service Guide, it uses DDR2 RAM. DDR3 RAM won't work
Page 64 of the manual shows you RAM specs, part number and how to replace RAM
Regards.

Hello PanMar85
Your PC supports DDR-2 and not DDR-3 memory Type.
Your PC supports upto 8GB and 2 SODIMM slots Customer-accessible/upgradable.
Please go through the Guide : http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01758220
See page : 3-4
Kindly check this : http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/pavilion-dv6-1130sa

Hi,
It is not suitable. You can only upgrade your system with DDR2 memory as DDR3 is not supported by your system.
So only DDR2 memory as an example:
Hope it helps,
David

Hello PanMar85,
As per the guide, DDR 3 cannot fit the Mem notch : See the differences in picture below.
Since you claim that DDR-3 RAM module is working on the PC. Try the Same MeM on the other Mem Slot and check iot that fits. If yes. Buy a similar one and make 8gb Total. That shoukld fix the issue.
