I understand that you need assistance with the fingerprint reader on your computer, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you. 

Have you tried to update all the drivers using HP Support Assistant?

 

Request you install the fingerprint driver from this link

Once the driver is installed, install the Simplepass software from this link to configure the fingerprint reader. 

Once the simplepass software is installed and configured, you can run HP Support Assistant to make sure all the other drivers are updated on your computer. 

Please refer to this HP Article for assistance in using HPSA.

Hi CHimney_83,

Thank you for the assistance, I downloaded the files I also followed the procedures regarding uninstall-restart driver and software before installing...but it seems upon log on the fingerprint scanner just blinks but still no luck logging in using the scanner...

Thanks for the reply and trying the steps suggested in the article. Request you reinstall the OS using the recovery kit created on your computer. 

If you do not have the recovery kit, please contact our phone support to order a copy of recovery kit for your computer. 

To prove the functionality of the fingerprint reader, request you install the actual OS that was bundled with your computer and check.
