i paid to upgrade to windows 10 then my beats soud speakers wouldnt work, so i updated drivers and everything was fine. then i found i cant use my dvd drive for dvds or cd's . the drive opens and shows as E:\ so it ejects but then wont read, says please insert disc, but still cant read and the ejects the drive again.
this has only happened since upgrade to windows 10 i have tried to recover my laptop but that still wont work.
whats the point in having a high spec laptop that wont work. i have tried all the uninstall and device driver support and nothing working
my warranty has run out but your website wont allow me to extend my warranty as the page shuts down every time

Are you trying to read or write DVDs and CDs? Before we just assume the Windows 10 update caused this let's run a hardware diagnostic on the DVD burner. Tap esc and then F2 as you power up and look for component tests. You should be able to run a test on the DVD burner drive.

That sounds more like a bad drive than a Windows issue but what software are you using to play the media? Have you tried VLC Player, which will play music CDs or movie DVDs?

But its a logical fallacy. Just because it happened after does not mean Windows 10 caused it. You need to run the diagnostic. If it passes, then it is software and we can talk about Windows 10. One step at a time.
