Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Elitebook 840 G7 with a fresh install of W10 pro 21h1 and both the physical clicks from the touchpad (rather than the taps) and the physical pointing stick buttons do not register in windows. 

 

for reference just tapping the touchpad does register both left click 

 

The pointing stick itself is working, just not the left and right click buttons for it. 

 

All physical buttons appear to work as they wake up the keyboard backlight when clicked so they are enabled, just windows does not recognize them.

 

cannot find touchpad driver on HP support website for the G7. 

 

Currently the touchpad is down in device manager as HID compliant mouse
