does someone perhaps know how the ram memory slots number? The HP Support Assistant numbers them:

Memory 1/ Bank 0/ Bottom-Slot 2(right)

Memory 2/ Bank 1/ Top - Slot 2 (under)

Memory 3/ Bank 3/ Top-Slot 1(top)

Memory 4/ Bank 3/ Bottom-Slot 2

I am struggling to connect this to what i see inside the laptop. So, when i insert modules, which slot do i start with or fill first in order?

Thank you,

Regards,

Hi:

See chapter 4 of the service manual at the link below.

c03905828.pdf (hp.com)

Since your notebook has 4 memory slots, the primary memory slots are located under the keyboard and the expansion memory slots are located under the service door.

Let's say for example that you only have 2 x 4 GB of memory to install.

You would install both memory chips in the primary memory slots under the keyboard, and the two expansion slots would remain empty.

If you have 2 x 4 GB and 2 x 2 GB of memory to install, you would install the 2 x 4 GB of memory under the keyboard and the 2 x 2 GB of memory in the expansion slots under the service door.
