external cd drive problems
01-21-2021 02:48 AM

Hi, I needed a new laptop and I know that CD drives are hard to come by now ... I have bought an external CD drive to burn music from iTunes onto ... but I cannot get it to work on my new HP notebook. It works fine on my old laptop.
Do I need to download any special software from HP to allow an optical drive to burn CD's?

Your machine come w/o ODD therefore HP may not include software for it (all 3 my HP machines came w/o software for ODD because they don't have Optical drives). I don't know you can use CyberLink license or not but you can use software from vendor of your external ODD.
You can also use many free software around
(a) To play CD/DVD's or BD's (if your drive supported this😞

(b) To burn CD/DVD's:
